About Threatpost
The first stop for security news, Threatpost is an independent news and community network for the broader IT security community. Recognizing that the media landscape is changing and that readers currently have to visit multiple online sites to get a more complete view of security news, Threatpost has been created as a post media destination to fill the need for a single collection site. Threatpost has adopted a distributed news gathering model where its editorial team monitors the Internet for fast breaking security news and the most pressing issues of the day. The end result is the aggregation of the most important security news stories, all delivered with Threatpost’s unique commentary. Complementing this, its editorial team also contributes its own brand of reporting and in-depth analysis of industry news and trends.
Threatpost is sponsored by Kaspersky Lab as it is directly in line with the Company’s mission to respond rapidly to all Internet threats to make the Internet safer for all and thus creating awareness of these threats through public dialogue and education. Threatpost was launched by Kaspersky Lab in an effort to help the broader community of Internet users learn about the growing malicious software activity on the Internet. Kaspersky Lab hopes that the broader IT security community will visit Threatpost to stay abreast of breaking security news, learn about the latest threats and the best ways to stay protected against those threats, and engage in the overall discussion taking place in the security community.
