It's the funniest thing to see web pages crafted like this pop-up in Linux!
I think the best way to combat this is for windows users to KNOW which process's are supposed to be running, to KNOW which ports are open. These will take basic education of the file system and OS, and a basic understanding of tcpip. Of course this will never happen, and this is why these specially crafted pages will continue to claim victims. It's too bad a fully patched windows box needs to be hidden behind a hardware firewall. I kind of wish Microsoft would have made a firewall allowing control of all 65k ports, as opposed to the ICS cruft. Windows needs an iptables equal. And not some third party stuff.
