Verizon DBIR Cryptography Challenge: Here's The First Clue
So, according to a little birdie tweeting in the night, the 2010 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR) contains another encryption challenge that leads to actual cash prizes.
Last year, after I dropped a big clue here, Grant Stavely, Chris Eng and others decoded the hidden message on the cover of the report in record time.
This year, the birdie whispered that the the challenge is much harder. Luckily, I have the first clue:
"Everything you need is right there in print."
It's been flipped so, think like an engineer, not a developer ;)
I'll be dropping more clues here as the contest goes on. Happy hunting.
