Because I use the PDF file format and download a large number of PDF files from other sources I'm stuck using the flawed Adobe programs.  I have noticed that sometimes I can not print a pdf file and I don't know if the reader has a problem following the print command or whether that particular files is just not a printable file.  Adobe has to quite denying that there is a problem with the programs and get on the BALL and either fix the flaws or rewrite the program in its entirity and quite playing with our internet lives.  I have not taken the chance of opening myself to an attack by upgrading my ADOBE Reader and continue to muddle through when I have to open a PDF file.
